Loaded Oatmeal

Love me some oatmeal in the morning (or anytime of the day)! Give this recipe a try. It's so much better for you than eating the processed stuff (plus it's made with love and has extra charm from you)!


Ingredients:

1 cup whole rolled oats

1 cup plant based milk

1 cup water

1 banana chopped

4-5 dates chopped

1 tsp cinnamon

1 tsp vanilla extract

3 tbsp honey or maple syrup

Toppings:

Blueberries

Pumpkin seeds


Recipe:

  1. In a pot add oats, milk and water, bananas, dates, cinnamon and vanilla extract, honey or syrup.

  2. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Stir every so often to prevent oats from sticking to the bottom of the pot.

  3. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes till its think and creamy.

  4. Remove from heat and let cool about 5 minutes.

  5. Sprinkle toppings over the oatmeal and it's ready to eat.

Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator up to 5 days and eaten warm or cold. This dish can be an energizing snack or as a meal on its own.
